Jeep Gladiator Modifications

The Jeep Gladiator is the only midsize truck with true 4x4 Jeep DNA — solid axles, removable doors and top, and serious off-road capability from the factory. At American Fusion Wheels, we take that factory potential and turn it into a fully built truck that handles the trail, the highway, and the job site. Lift kits, suspension upgrades, wheel and tire packages, bumpers, armor, bed accessories, lighting, and complete off-road builds — all done under one roof in Shawnee, KS.

We build every Gladiator trim. Sport and Sport S — the most popular starting points for budget-friendly builds. Dana 30 front, Dana 44 rear, part-time 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case. We add lifts, wheels, tires, bumpers, and rock lights to transform the Sport into a capable 4x4 trail truck that stands out on the street. Willys — the value-packed trail trim with 32-inch tires, locking rear diff, and rock rails from the factory. We upgrade to 35s, add a 2.5 to 3.5-inch lift, and install steel bumpers for a well-rounded build. Rubicon — the hardcore 4x4 trim with Dana 44 front and rear, electronic front and rear lockers, disconnecting sway bar, and 33-inch mud-terrains. We push Rubicon Gladiators further with Fox 2.5 coilovers, 37-inch tires, heavy armor, and bed-mounted recovery gear.

Mojave — Jeep's desert-rated trim built for high-speed off-road. The Mojave comes with Fox internal bypass shocks, unique spring rates, a wider front track, and a reinforced frame. We build on that desert-rated foundation with longer-travel suspension components, larger tires, chase racks, and additional lighting for serious desert and 4x4 trail running. Overland — the leather-lined, feature-rich trim that many buyers turn into an overlanding platform. We add moderate lifts, all-terrain tires, bed racks, rooftop tent mounts, tonneau covers, and auxiliary lighting for adventure-ready overlanding setups. High Altitude — the premium street trim that still benefits from a leveling kit, custom wheels, and upgraded tires for a more aggressive stance without sacrificing daily comfort.

The Gladiator's 5-foot bed sets it apart from every other Jeep. We maximize that utility with bed accessories tailored to how you use your truck. Tonneau covers from Bestop, BAKFlip, and RetraxPRO keep your gear secure and dry. Bed racks from companies like Putnam, CBI, and Prinsu mount above the bed rails for rooftop tents, gear bins, spare tires, and recovery equipment. Spray-in bed liners protect the bed from heavy cargo. Cargo management systems with dividers and sliding trays keep tools and gear organized for the job site or the campsite.

The Gladiator is not just a modified Wrangler with a bed. The JT has a longer wheelbase, heavier curb weight, and different rear suspension geometry that requires Gladiator-specific components. We do not bolt on Wrangler parts and call it done — every lift kit, shock, spring, and control arm we install is engineered for the Gladiator platform. That attention to platform-specific fitment is what separates a well-built Gladiator from one that rides rough and handles poorly.

Towing is another area where the Gladiator stands alone in the Jeep lineup. With up to 7,650 lbs towing capacity depending on configuration, the JT can haul trailers, side-by-sides, and boats. We set up lifted Gladiators with properly valved shocks and load-rated springs that maintain towing stability — no excessive squat, no wallowing on the highway with a loaded trailer. Your Gladiator should perform as well hitched to a trailer as it does on the 4x4 trail.
