$249.99 Off-Road Inspection — Pre & Post Trail
$249.99 pre and post off-road inspection with full 4-wheel alignment. Visual inspection of suspension, steering, brakes, tires, undercarriage, and armor. Vehicle must be clean for post-trail inspections.
$249.99 Off-Road Inspection in Kansas City
American Fusion Wheels offers pre and post off-road inspections for $249.99 — including a full 4-wheel Hunter alignment. Whether you are heading to Tuttle Creek, the Flint Hills, or any trail in the region, our inspection ensures your vehicle is safe, tight, and properly aligned before and after you wheel.
This is a thorough visual inspection of your entire vehicle. We put your truck or Jeep on a lift and go through every component that takes abuse on the trail — suspension, steering, tires, wheels, brakes, undercarriage, armor, drivetrain, exhaust, and frame. We are looking for loose hardware, worn components, cracked welds, leaking seals, damaged lines, and anything that could fail on the trail or cause problems on the highway.
Important: For post-trail inspections, your vehicle must be brought in clean. We cannot properly inspect suspension components, brake lines, seals, and undercarriage if they are covered in mud and dirt. A basic car wash with an undercarriage rinse is all that is needed — we just need to be able to see the parts to inspect them properly.
What We Inspect
- Suspension — Control arms, bushings, ball joints, sway bar links, springs, shocks, bump stops, and all mounting hardware
- Steering — Tie rod ends, drag link, track bar, steering box, and linkage for play, wear, or damage
- Tires & Wheels — Sidewall cuts, punctures, uneven wear, tread depth, bead integrity, bends, and cracks
- Brakes — Pads, rotors, calipers, brake lines, and fluid level for wear, leaks, or damage
- Undercarriage & Armor — Skid plates, rock sliders, bumper mounts, diff covers, and frame for cracks, bends, or loose hardware
- Drivetrain — CV boots, U-joints, driveshaft, differential seals, transfer case for leaks or visible damage
- Exhaust — Hangers, clamps, catalytic converter, and piping for damage or loose connections
- Fluids — Check all fluid levels and look for leaks at seals, gaskets, and lines
- Alignment — Full 4-wheel Hunter alignment included — camber, caster, and toe measured and adjusted to spec
The inspection is available for any vehicle that goes off-road — Jeep Wranglers, Gladiators, Ford Broncos, Toyota Tacomas, 4Runners, Tundras, Chevy Silverados, Colorado ZR2s, Ram trucks, and any other truck or SUV. Modified or stock, lifted or factory height — we inspect them all.

Why Choose American Fusion Wheels for Off-Road Inspection
Professional service, quality parts, and expert installation — all under one roof in Shawnee, KS.
Complete Visual Inspection
We visually inspect your entire vehicle — suspension components, steering linkage, tie rods, ball joints, control arms, sway bar links, frame, undercarriage, brake lines, fluid leaks, exhaust hangers, body mounts, and anything that could be loose, worn, or damaged from trail use.
Full 4-Wheel Alignment
Every inspection includes a full 4-wheel Hunter alignment. Off-road driving knocks your alignment out fast — even a single trail run can push toe and caster out of spec. We measure and adjust camber, caster, and toe to factory or lifted specs.
Tire & Wheel Check
We inspect every tire for sidewall damage, cuts, punctures, uneven wear, and tread depth. Wheels are checked for bends, cracks, and bead integrity. If we find an issue, we let you know before it becomes a blowout on the highway.
Undercarriage & Armor Check
We get under your vehicle and inspect skid plates, rock sliders, differential covers, bumper mounts, and any armor for damage, loose hardware, or bending. Trail hits that feel minor can crack welds or bend mounts over time.
Brake & Drivetrain Visual Inspection
Brake pads, rotors, calipers, and lines are visually inspected for damage and wear. We also check CV boots, U-joints, driveshaft, differential seals, and transfer case for leaks or visible damage.
Our Process
From consultation to completion, we make it easy.

Your vehicle goes on the lift. We visually inspect suspension, steering, brakes, tires, undercarriage, armor, and drivetrain. Then we perform a full 4-wheel alignment.
Review & Ride
We go over our findings with you. If everything checks out, you are good to go. If we find issues, we show you what needs attention and quote any repairs — nothing gets done without your approval.
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about off-road inspection at American Fusion Wheels.
What is included in the $249.99 off-road inspection?
The $249.99 off-road inspection includes a complete visual inspection of your vehicle plus a full 4-wheel alignment. We inspect suspension components, steering, brakes, tires, wheels, undercarriage, armor, drivetrain, exhaust, and frame. Alignment is measured and adjusted to proper specs for your setup. This is available as a pre-trail inspection (before you go) or a post-trail inspection (after you get back).
Do I need to bring my vehicle in clean for a post-trail inspection?
Yes — for post-trail inspections, your vehicle must be clean when you bring it in. We cannot properly inspect suspension components, undercarriage, brake lines, seals, and armor if they are caked in mud, dirt, or clay. A thorough visual inspection requires being able to see the parts. If your vehicle arrives dirty, we will ask you to come back after washing it. A basic undercarriage wash at any car wash is sufficient — it does not need to be spotless, just clean enough to inspect.
When should I get a pre-trail inspection?
Get a pre-trail inspection before any significant off-road trip — especially if your vehicle has been modified or if it has been a while since your last alignment check. We make sure everything is tight, nothing is worn or about to fail, and your alignment is dialed in so your tires wear evenly on the drive out and back. It is peace of mind before you hit the trail.
When should I get a post-trail inspection?
After any trail run where you hit rocks, ruts, water crossings, or rough terrain. Even if everything feels fine driving home, impacts can loosen hardware, knock alignment out of spec, damage brake lines, crack welds on armor, and cause slow leaks. A post-trail inspection catches these issues before they become expensive repairs or safety hazards on the highway.
How long does the off-road inspection take?
The full inspection with alignment typically takes 1 to 2 hours depending on your vehicle and setup. Heavily modified rigs with extensive armor and accessories may take a bit longer. Most customers wait at the shop while we work — we have a comfortable waiting area.
What if you find something wrong during the inspection?
We document everything we find and go over it with you. Nothing gets repaired without your approval. If we find a loose bolt, a worn tie rod end, a leaking seal, or a cracked weld, we will show you the issue, explain what it means, and give you a quote to fix it. Many small issues are quick and inexpensive to address on the spot if you want.
Is the $249.99 inspection just for Jeeps?
No — the off-road inspection is for any vehicle that goes off-road. Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators, Ford Broncos, Toyota Tacomas, 4Runners, Tundras, Chevy Silverados, Colorado ZR2s, Ram trucks, Nissan Frontiers — any truck or SUV. If you wheel it, we inspect it.
Do I need an appointment for the off-road inspection?
We recommend calling ahead at 913-291-2027 to schedule, especially during busy seasons. This ensures we have a lift and alignment bay available when you arrive. Walk-ins are welcome when we have availability.
