Cat-Back Exhaust ($500-$1,500 installed)

Replaces everything from the catalytic converter back — mid-pipe, muffler, and tips. This is the most popular exhaust upgrade because it gives you the biggest sound and performance improvement without triggering check engine lights. Adds 5-15 horsepower depending on the system and vehicle.

Muffler Delete ($150-$300)

Missouri: Jackson County (KC MO), Clay County, and Platte County require emissions testing. Catalytic converters must remain intact on MO-registered vehicles. Cat-back and muffler modifications are legal as long as the cat stays in place.
