A leveling kit raises the front of your truck to match the height of the rear. Most trucks come with factory rake — the rear sits 1 to 2 inches higher than the front to accommodate heavy bed loads. A leveling kit corrects this by adding spacers above the front struts or coil springs. The result is a level stance that looks better, aims your headlights correctly, and provides clearance for larger tires up front.

On most full-size trucks like the F-150, Silverado, and Ram 1500, a 2 to 2.5-inch leveling kit opens clearance for 33-inch tires without rubbing. Some trucks can fit 285/70R17s or 285/65R18s with a leveling kit alone. Mid-size trucks like the Tacoma, Colorado, and Canyon typically fit 32 to 33-inch tires after leveling. A properly installed leveling kit has minimal impact on ride quality. Strut spacers and coil spacers do not change the spring rate — they reposition the suspension.
