Kansas law allows 35% VLT (visible light transmission) on front driver and passenger windows. Rear side windows and the rear windshield can be any darkness — including 5% limo tint. There are no restrictions on windshield sun strips. Since Olathe is in Johnson County, Kansas, you follow KS tint law. We install to legal limits and can go as dark as you want on the rear. If your vehicle is registered in Missouri, different rules apply and we advise accordingly.

Both are excellent films. Carbon tint uses carbon particles to block heat and UV — it is fade-resistant, has a matte appearance, and does not interfere with radio, GPS, or phone signals. Factory privacy glass on rear windows can be tinted over — the existing dark glass counts toward the overall VLT, so we choose a film shade that complements the factory glass.

All three of our film options are signal-friendly — your K-TAG, phone, GPS, and satellite radio will work normally through any film we apply.
